Bio

Deb Festa finds immense joy in capturing nature's light, color, and ever-changing moods in her refreshing watercolor paintings.  She is known for her vibrant color combinations.  She enjoys painting  landscapes and florals, working from nature and the many photographs she takes on her many travels.

Painting exclusively in watercolor since 1991 and then adding acrylic in 2007.  She has become well known throughout the central coast of California with local and international art lovers who have purchased her work.  Deb finds the natural beauty around her a constant inspiration to paint and create dynamic ways to share her artistic vision with others.

Deb is a California native.  She feels blessed to have grown up in a creative family and loves the outdoors.  As a young person taking camping trips throughtout the western United States, Canada, the Yukon Territory and Alaska, she experienced the peace of mind, heart and spirit that are part of being in the outdoors.  She learned to love the colors of the sky, mountains, rocks and meadows, and if she could paint the sounds of birds singing, wind in the trees and waterfallls, she would!  In nature, time stands still for her, and she would hope that her paintings would bring that experience to her viewers.

After many years of raising a family and working with children in the San Luis Coastal Unified School District, her dream of sharing her inspiration with others through her watercolors has finally come true.  Her purpose is to capture and share the serenity and joy of nature - a serene refuge from the modern world.

Deb Festa lives in Los Osos, California with her husband Ray and their Weimaraner Princess Cinderbella, (Deb's painting partner).  They have two grown children, Stephanie and Isaiah.
